Caf CC: ‘Nkana FC have no fear of Kotoko,’ says Ocran

Nkana FC’s Ghanaian defender, Richard Ocran says he has enough information under his sleeve to help aid his side overcome Asante Kotoko in the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.

The Zambians have been drawn in the same pool with the Porcupine Warriors for the group stage of the competition. The group also includes their rivals ZESCO United and Sudanese giants Al Hilal.

Speaking to Oyerepa FM, Ocran, who is well-vexed with the Ghanaian game, having previously featured for Sekondi Hasaacas, Dreams FC and AshantiGold before heading for Zambia said:

“The group we find ourselves is very tough, it won’t be easy.

“There is no minnow in the group but the only advantage we have now is that I know Kotoko very well as well as the coach. I worked with Coach CK Akonnor at Dreams FC and also at AshantiGold.

“Talking to my other colleagues, they have no fear even though Kotoko is big on the continent.”

Ocran also revealed Nkana’s ambitions.

“Our target is the semifinals and we will do our best to qualify because all the other three are also capable.

“My other colleagues have been asking me about Kotoko even the coach. I know a lot of the players at Kotoko and will brief my colleagues on it,” he added.

Nkana FC will host Kotoko on match-day 3 of the games in Group C scheduled for Sunday, February 24 with the reverse coming off the following match-day on March 3 in Kumasi.
