Referees from Egypt will handle Asante Kotoko’s opening game with Al-Hilal in Group C of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors travel as guests of the Sudanese giants at El Hilal Stadium, Omdurman on Sunday, February 3.
Mahmoud Zakaria Mohamed El Banna will take charge of affairs as centre referee.
The 32-year-old, who became a Fifa referee in 2014, is to work with compatriots Tahssen Abo El Sadat Bedyer and Youssef Wahid Youssef Elbosaty as first and second assistants respectively.
Sunday’s match is scheduled for 6pm kickoff and Kotoko, as a result have begun training under the floodlights of the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi ahead of their trip. The Porcupine Warriors intend to leave Ghana for Sudan on Thursday, January 31.
