Caf CC: Kotoko under no pressure, says Frimpong

Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong says the team is not under pressure to deliver ahead of their 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup 1/16th stage first leg fixture against Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks.

The Sharks recorded an impressive 9-1 aggregate win over Djibouti’s Arta Solar7 but Frimpong believes that their opponent’s precision in front of goal would not put pressure on the playing body.

According to the defender, the Porcupine Warriors have had adequate preparations towards the epic clash which should propel them to secure a favourable results.

“They [Kariobangi Sharks] have a very good team. That’s why they recorded that impressive scoreline against the Djibouti club.

“But we are not under pressure going into the game on Saturday. We have had a nice preparation ever since we decided to play in Africa.

“We are going to Kenya to achieve something. The defenders wouldn’t be under pressure either because of their attackers,” Frimpong said while the team left Accra for Nairobi.

“It would be difficult as expected because there are no Minos in football today, so we’re not underrating them too,” he added.
