Felix Addo: Kotoko close in on Elmina Sharks striker

Asante Kotoko have been cleared to include Elmina Sharks striker Felix Addo in their squad for the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors are racing against time to seal deals with new targets in order to register them for their Africa campaign.

Kotoko, after being confirmed as Ghana’s representatives for the upcoming Confederation Cup, have been allowed to submit their squad under a special dispensation and will have to complete the process on October 31.

Footy-Ghana.com is informed that coach C.K Akonnor requested the express signing of the 2017 Wafu Cup star from Elmina Sharks.

Both clubs are in talks and close to sealing the financial details of the deal with Kotoko given the go ahead to register Addo, a club source tells us.

Addo, 25, has been with Sharks since 2016 when he joined from Liberty Professionals.

Kotoko have also expressed interest in Karela United duo Maxwell Baakoh (winger) and Ismail Ganiyu (centre-back) while coach Akonnor is expected to make firm decisions on midfielders Martin Antwi and Daniel Nii Adjei who began training with the side on Monday.

Asante Kotoko have so far added Guinean import Keita Naby, Abass Mohammed and Kwame Bonsu to their Africa list.

The 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup is scheduled to kick off November 27. Caf is expected to hold a draw for the competition in the coming weeks.
