Ghana’s Black Queens defender Faustina Ampah played full throttle as FC Minsk bagged the 2018 Baltic Women’s League title after a 2-1 win over Lithuania’s Gintra Universitetas on Sunday.
The Belarusian side’s two second half goals rendered Gintra’s first half opener just a consolation in a highly competitive final at the Šiaulių Savivaldybes Stadion.
Yulia Duben scored from the spot before Luboi Shatko added the game winner from a free kick.
The Baltic League title is the third trophy for FC Minsk in 2018 – the side has already secured the Belarus Super Cup and the league title.
Faustina Ampah will be key to Ghana’s quest to host and win the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The centre-back is expected to join Ghana’s camp for the Women’s Afcon by November 5.
