Zlatan Ibrahimovic linked with Egypt’s Pyramids FC

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be heading to the Egyptian Premier League, according to a report in Spain.

The 36-year-old striker is reportedly attracting interest from Egyptian club Pyramids FC which is owned by Saudi Arabian billionaire Turki al-Sheikh.

Spanish news outlet Record claims that the Swede is considering an offer from the Egyptian outfit and could leave MLS side La Galaxy if an agreement is reached.

It is understood that the Saudi moneybags has given his approval to lure Ibrahimovic to the Egyptian top division side.

However Ibrahimovic still has a contract with LA Galaxy which runs out in 2020 — something the Saudi billionaire is believed can adequately take care of without batting an eyelid.

Al-Sheikh is believed to be ready to bankroll Pyramids FC’s bid to become one of Egypt’s top clubs by attracting some of the sport’s big names after signing on former Brazil goalkeeper Dida as goalkeeping coach.

Ibrahimovic has been in fine form for LA Galaxy since joining in March as a free agent. He has scored 16 goals in 21 matches for the MLS club.
