Ghana’s Mohammed Abu played full minutes in his first game for new club Valerenga who returned to winning ways Sunday night.
The central midfielder joined the Norwegian topflight side on a short loan from Columbus Crew in the MLS almost a fortnight ago.
Abu, who has reunited with former coach Ronny Deila, helped Valerenga to defeat Tromso 3-0 at the Intility Arena in Oslo.
Compatriot Adam Kwarasey also started in post for Valerenga who now occupy 7th position on the 16-team log with 27 points.
20-year-old Nigerian forward Chidera Ejueke also started the game but got substituted later in the second half.
Valerenga next face league leaders SK Brann at home on August 26.
