Ghana’s Mubarak Wakaso has indicated he is happy to stay and see out the remaining two years in his contract with Spanish top side Deportivo Alavés.
The midfielder just finished his first season at the Vitoria-Gasteiz-based side – his sixth Spanish club after stints with Espanyol, Vilareal, Elche, Las Palmas and Granada.
“I went through the entire season without any injury or any problem and also had a good campaign as Alavés maintained La Liga status,” Wakaso told Joy Sports.
”I can’t really talk about moving to another club right now because I still have two years left on my contract with the club, therefore, I cannot talk about moving to another club,” the 27-year-old added.
Mubarak Wakaso helped Alavés to avoid relegation by making 12 starts in 21 appearances in the 2017/18 season.
