Liberty, WAFA fined GH¢1,000 for fans’ misconduct

Ghana Premier League sides Liberty Professionals and West African Football Academy have been sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

The two sides failed to control their teeming fans in their league duels against Medeama SC.

MATCHDAY 4: LIBERTY VS MEDEAMA SC.

Liberty fans, on the 80th minute, rushed onto the assistant referee at the Dansoman Carl Reindolf Park and the DC rules that the unfortunate action is in accordance with Article 35(4) and 35(9) of the GFA General Regulations.

MATCHDAY 6: WAFA VS MEDEAMA SC

For the Academy boys, their supporters threw sachets of water where one landed on the referee at the Sogakope Park. That, according to the judicial body is in breach of Article 35(b), 35(4) and 35(9) of the GFA General Regulations.

Both clubs have been fined GH¢1,000 and warned to let their followers exhibit good attitudes, in avoiding further sanctions.

The Ghana Premier League is currently on a break as Aduana Stars and other clubs clears some outstanding matches.
