Ghana’s Sherifatu Sumaila joins LA Galaxy OC

Former Black Maidens and Princesses striker Sherifatu Sumaila has been signed by America’s United Women’s Soccer (UWS) side LA Galaxy Orange County.

LA Galaxy OC announced the Ghana international as one of 11 initial signings for their inaugural UWS Women’s team.

Sherifatu is enrolled at the University of Maine, Ft. The league is played in the summer – form May until July end.

Sherifatu Sumaila, 23, was a member of the Black Maidens squad which won bronze at the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2012. She moved up the ranks in 2014 where she also represented Ghana at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.
