Alhaji Grunsah might contest for GFA top position

Kumasi King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Karim Grunsah is contemplating on competing for the Presidency of the Ghana Football Association.

The tough-talking football official believes he possesses the right strategies to cure Ghana’s football challenges per his rich experience.

“I can decide to run for the 2019 president position because I wish to see Ghana football develop and the management of the association very effective. An organization where rules and regulations will strictly be adhered to and decisions not made on friendship basis,” Grunsah told Ghana News Agency.

A tough contest is expected for the top seat of the GFA as President Kwasi Nyantakyi earlier expressed his decision not to contest next year. He wishes to attend to his CAF Vice President duties.

That said, GFA veep Mr. George Afriyie has publicly announced his desire to compete for the position and Gruzah admits that it was a positive step. He however warned that anything could happen if Nyantakyi alters his previous decision.

“George has done nothing wrong for such declaration. I’m a principled man and I want people to follow principles, so now it all depends on whether Nyantakyi will rescind his decision to contest again then we will see what happens.”

Undoubtedly, 2019 promises to be a year of political action at the Ghana Football Association.
