Hearts unveil new recruits for 2017/18 campaign

Accra Hearts of Oak on Wednesday afternoon unveiled their new signings for the 2017/18 Ghana football season.

The players, numbering 11 and Fatawu Mohammed who signed a new contract after the expiration of his last deal, were paraded in front of the media and fans at a ceremony held at the World Trade Center in Accra.

Christopher Bonney and Joseph Esso joined the Phobians from Ebusua Dwarfs while Evans Quao also completed a free agent move from arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

Centre-back Benjamin Agyare was recruited from Division One side Heart of Lions with Selasie Bakai Blessing (striker) and goalkeeper Richard Baidoo promoted from the club’s junior team, Auroras.

Completing the new faces are Benjamin Afutu (midfielder, Karela Utd), Camara Nguessan (Midfielder, Ivory Coast), Radji Okemba (wing-back, Congo) Aboubacar Traore (striker, Burkina Faso) and goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson.

New Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer Mark David Noonan was also officially unveiled.
