Paul Put quits Kenya job for “personal reasons”

Belgian coach Paul Put has vacated the Kenyan national team job just three months into his appointment.

The 61-year-old was named new head coach of the Harambee Stars in November 2017.

Confirming his departure on Monday, the Kenya Football Federation said the former Burkina Faso coach cited personal reasons for his decision.

A few days ago, Paul Put was rumoured to have slapped in his application for the vacant Guinea job which officials say has attracted over 80 CVs from interested coaches.

Meanwhile, Stanley Okumbi takes interim charge of the Harambee Stars.
