Official: Paa Kwesi Fabin seals Kotoko return

Asante Kotoko have re-engaged former coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin, almost eight years after leaving the side.

The 59-year-old worked with the Porcupine Warriors as head coach between September 2009 and April 2010.

Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that Fabin completed details of his contract with Kotoko in Kumasi and duly signed his contract before 6pm on Sunday.

“Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel Kwesi Fabin as new Head Coach of the club.

“Mr. Fabin is tasked with a duty to guide the Porcupines in the 2017/18 season while managing talents at the club for overall success,” an official club statement read.

The former Ghana U-17 coach would be introduced officially to his players and backroom on Monday at the club’s Adako-Jachie training grounds.

Footy-Ghana.com gathers Kotoko will, early this week, move camp away from Kumasi in preparations for their 2017/18 Ghana Premier League opening match away to WAFA SC.

The Kotoko job became vacant after the club decided to part ways with English trainer Steven Polack last Friday following their failure to advance from the preliminary round of the Caf Confederation Cup.
