JUST IN: Daniel Darkwah CLEARED to join Kotoko

Asante Kotoko are now free to announce the capture of former Aduana Stars kingpin Daniel Darkwah.

The 26-year-old has just been granted a free agent status by the Ghana Football Association.

Darkwah, who finished his contract after helping the Dormaa-based club win the Ghanaian League last season, made an appearance before the Player Status Committee chaired by Lawyer Maxwell Opoku Agyeman Thursday afternoon.

The defender spent seven seasons at Aduana Stars FC.

Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that Daniel Darkwah already has an agreement in place to join Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

He will however sit out for a couple of days as an injury he picked up during a trial at South African side Maritzburg United heals completely.

Kotoko are expected to make an official announcement on his arrival by close of day or latest Friday.
