Wafu Cup: Ghana chase early semis berth, Guinea eye revival

Another set of enticing duels beckon in Group A of the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations beckon at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.

Guinea, who lost their first game, are in a must-win situation in order to revive their chances of advancing from the group as they take on powerhouse Nigeria.

The Super Eagles have a point after firing blanks against Mali on Thursday. Kickoff is at 3pm.

Game two on the day has hosts Ghana also taking on the Malians.

After goals from Stephen Sarfo and Kwame Kizito helped them to defeat the Syli Nationale and took charge of the group, the Black Stars will be seeking early qualification into the semis with another victory when they face the Eagles at 6pm.

The first two teams in Group A automatically take the semifinals spots.

The grand finale of the 2017 Wafu Cup is fixed for September 24.
