VIDEO: Jonathan Mensah nets diving header goal in Crew SC victory

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah scored to help Columbus Crew seal a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas in the MLS Saturday night.

It is the first for the 27-year-old centre-back since joining the club prior to the start of the season.

Both goals for Columbus Crew came in the second half with Norwegian Ola Kamara scoring first at MAPFRE Stadium five minutes into the second half.

Twenty-one minutes later, Mensah then scored his first MLS goal with a diving header off a free kick by Higuain.

Dallas defender Walker Zimmerman cut the lead in half with a header off a corner kick, but Columbus was able to hold on to win their fourth straight home game.

Of the Ghanaian quartet with Crew, only Mensah and Mohammed Abu made the starting line-up and went ahead to complete the game. Two others Harrison Afful (77th minute) and Lalas Abubakar (88th minute) were introduced in the second half.

Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful will be heading for Ghana to join the Black Stars camp for a crucial back-to-back battles with Congo in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
