PHOTOS: Jo Ayew scores as Swansea beat Schlupp’s Palace

Striker Jordan Ayew scored for the successive game but his first in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Ghana international showed good form ahead of the international break as he helped Swansea City to secure an impressive 2-0 away victory over Crystal Palace side at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham put the visitors in the lead just before half-time with a low finish after beating Martin Kelly to Leroy Fer’s cross.

Ayew took his turn three minutes into second half when he capitalized on a Kyle Naughton through pass from midfield, beat the offside trap before poking the ball past Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Jordan Ayew lasted the entire duration of the game but his countryman Jeffrey Schlupp was kept on the bench of the opposite side by under-fire manager Frank de Boer.

Both Ayew and Schlupp are expected to touch down Accra on Sunday for preparations towards Ghana’s 2018 Fifa World Cup double-header against Congo on September 1 and 5.
