#FootyTransfers: “I want to play for Bursaspor” – Patrick Twumasi tells Astana

Ghana’s Patrick Twumasi has confessed he is ready to leave Uefa Champions League campaigners Astana for Bursaspor this summer.

The Turkish club, in their quest for a striker after landing compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu on loan, have been wooing the striker over the past week.

Twumasi, who is widely considered Astana’s best player, after netting three goals in the Champions League qualifiers already, wants a new challenge away from the Kazakhstan side soon.

“I want to play for Bursaspor. I have made that clear.

“But it is entirely down to the club if and when they sell me. I am under contract until 2019 and it is up to them,” he said.

Twumasi, 23, has netted nine goals in 14 starts for Astana this season.

Astana have got to decide whether to keep him for the Champions League double-header with Celtic or sell him now.

Patrick Twumasi is valued at £3million.
