Jordan set to leave Villa for China

Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Ayew look set to quit his premier league club to join the money flowing Chinese Super league club Shanghai SIPG.

Jordan joined ‘The Claret and Blue’ in 2015 from French Lique 1 side Loreint on a five-year deal for an amount of £12m. Villa were relegated to the championship the same season he joined.

The Chinese club have registered their interest in signing the Ghanaian to bolster their squad in addition to the array of stars already purchased.

Meanwhile, Villa want something in the region of £10m – the same amount they payed in securing his services.
According to The Sun, the former Marseille man could be tempted to make a move away from the Villa Park with Steve Bruce already looking for his replacement.

They have already tabled a £3m bid for Nottingham Forest 26-year-old Henri Lansbury with a weekly wage of £40,000, who is also wanted by Derby County and Newcastle.

Jordan is among the final Ghana squad for Afcon 2017 – who are training far away in UAE before making their trip to Gabon on Friday.
