Next season will be better – Kotoko’s Eric Donkor

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Eric Donkor is hopeful of the club returning to winning trophies next season.

The club will begin their pre-season campaign on Monday 24th October 2016 at their training ground at the Adako Jachie Park.

Although Kotoko had a good pre-season prior to the 2015/16 GPL season, they came fifth on the league log and Eric Donkor believes they can better that performance if they have a good pre-season.

“Last season wasn’t a good season for us. Looking at the performance of the club, we placed 5th on the table which wasn’t good for us.

“On a personal note, I will say the expectation was high for me during the season but it didn’t go as I expected but we are looking forward to a new opportunity and season coming up,” he said.

Eric Donkor played 26 games in the 2015/16 season, scoring 3 goals and making 5 assists and was awarded man of the match in the last game of the season for the Porcupine Warriors against WAFA at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
