Kotoko to commence preseason on Wednesday

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will officially begin their preseason journey on Wednesday,  12th October 2016.

The club confirmed on their website that players and technical team members of the Kumasi-based club will return to their Adako Jachie training grounds on Wednesday.

The team had been on break after the end of the 2015/16 league season where the team came 5th on the premier league table and failed to win any trophy in the season as their MTN FA Cup campaign was also cut short by Bechem United in the quarterfinals.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to release the 2016/17 calendar but Kotoko indicates the team is returning for “other important reasons” including preparation for the Ghana League Clubs Association (Ghalca)’s G-6 tournament which will start on November 5.

It will be recalled that Kotoko had an impressive preseason last year leading to the club winning the maiden G-6 competition in Sekondi.

The Porcupine Warriors are expecting the team would be in good shape and equally perform in the second edition.
