G-6 tournament now scheduled for November 13

GHALCA Chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has confirmed that the much awaited G-six tournament will be played on November 13 instead of the initially agreed date of November 5.

The G-six tournament will see Wa All Stars, Hearts of Oak, Kotoko, Bechem United, Aduana Stars and Medeama SC battling it out for the ultimate. It will also serve as pre-season for the clubs.

Speaking after a meeting with the representatives of the six participating teams, the Ashantigold CEO said the shift in date came up because the various clubs raised concerns over lack of preparation for the start of the tournament.

“We understand them and so we have now changed the date to 13 November,” he stated.

Fianoo also revealed his outfit have secured a headline sponsor for the competition.

“We have also secured a headline sponsor for the competition and still searching for more sponsors,” Mr Fianoo disclosed.
