Amartey glad to be picking notes from Drinkwater

Leicester City player Daniel Amartey has revealed his game is getting better by playing alongside colleague Danny Drinkwater.

The versatile player who can also play in defense has been deployed in midfield since the start of the season – playing alongside Danny Drinkwater in the absence of departed Ngolo Kante.

Speaking to LCFC TV HD, the Ghanaian revealed he has had a good time at the King Power Stadium and he is improving his play due to his partnership with Drinkwater.

“I’m very happy to be at Leicester City and in the Champions League,” Amartey said.

“I’m young and I have a lot of games to keep working and doing better.

“Leicester City is a very good club and when I first came here I was so shy because my English was not good, but the players helped me a lot.

“We are together. If I need anything, I tell them and they help me. I am very happy.

“I enjoy football. Playing with Danny Drinkwater is great. He’s a good player and I saw him play so well last season.

“Now that I’ve been playing with him I’m happy and I’m learning so much from him” he completed.

The Black Stars defender joined Leicester mid-season in January and played in the Champions Premier League success mostly as a substitute in five appearances

Amartey is expected to play against in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night as the foxes engage Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.
