I have disappointed my ‘Phobian’ father – hat trick hero Abednego Tetteh

The star man on match-day 27 of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League, Abednego Tetteh says his performance against Accra Hearts of Oak will disappoint his father.

The striker increased his goal tally this season to twelve (12) – two lesser than the top scorer Yahaya Mohammed (14) after a superb hat trick against the Phobians at the Bechem Park on Sunday.

The first goal came in the first half of the game and Tetteh worked hard in the second half to get the other two to keep his team on the 7th position of the league log with 38 points with just three games to go.

An enviable feat worth celebrating it is but the Bechem United forward says the results will disappoint his father who is supporter of the Accra based club.

“I have disappointed my father. He’s an ardent Hearts of Oak. People around Tema know him by the name Phobia…”

The hat trick hero however says he was only discharging his duty as professional player and adds he is yearning for more of such performance.

“I was only doing my job and I’m happy to have achieved this feat, scoring three goals in a game against a team in the calibre of Hearts of Oak gives me a great feeling and I want more of this.”

Bechem United are scheduled to face relegation-threatened New Edubiase, debutants Dreams FC and Dansoman based Liberty Professionals before the season finally comes to an end.
