Former Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko has advised the Ministry for Sports and the Ghana Football Association to smoke the peace pipe, in the wake of the recent fallout between the two entities.
The two bodies have been taking swipe at each other over administrative issues concerning the Black Stars, particularly on finance.
The ministry, led by Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, has constantly expressed concerns over the FA’s management of the national teams.
“There are no easy games in the [World Cup] qualifiers. If you look at Egypt, they will do all they can to qualify because of what happen to them the other time [7-3 aggregate defeat to the Black Stars in the Brazil 2014 qualifiers],” Tanko told Starr FM.
“I think we have to prepare very well, but my fear is the in-fighting. When you look at what is going on between the FA and ministry, it is not the best for us as a football nation.
“I hope they solve their problems and concentrate on the qualifiers,” he added.
Ghana have been drawn in Group E alongside Egypt, Congo and Uganda.
The Black Stars play Uganda in their first match on October 3.
