I need a new challenge – Agyemang-Badu

Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has revealed his desire to take up a new challenge elsewhere in the upcoming season.

Badu has been on a one-club career since arriving in Europe from Ghana’s Berlin FC and officially signing for the Italian top-flight side on January 28, 2010.

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner, in the past three summer windows, has been consistently linked to one club or the other in the English Premier League. Badu himself has confirmed getting close to joining Stoke City in the past season, a move which failed to materialize in the last minute, he said.

Speaking in a live studio interview with Starr FM Saturday, the former Berekum Arsenal and Kotoko (on loan) player hinted his readiness to change clubs should the opportunity opens itself before the start of the 2016/17 season.

“I need new challenges in my life,” the 25-year-old stated.

“Right now, the window is not yet opened. There are a few things on board. In a few weeks, I’ll know my future [with Udinese],” Badu added.

Agyemang-Badu, who scored 4 goals in 34 appearances for Udinese this just past 2015/16 season, is reported to be attracting interest from one of the big clubs in Italy as well as a few offers from outside.
