Orlando Pirates bid $190,000 to land Bernard Morrison from Vita Club

Ghana’s Bernard Morrison has emerged as a transfer target for South African giants Orlando Pirates.

The diminutive forward signed for DR Congo giants AS Vita Club from AshantiGold last summer and is now subject of a $190,000 offer after impressing scouts from Pirates.

The Buccaneers are said to have tracked Morrison’s progress in matches played for Vita Club in the CAF Champions League.

Morrison joined the Kinshasha-based club on a three-year contract in August 2015 for a $100,000 transfer fee.

AS Vita Club, who had earlier eliminated South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns, were this week expelled from the Champions League for fielding an unqualified player.
