Kotoko 3-0 Dwarfs: ‘Our game plan worked for us’ – Michael Osei

Coach Michael Osei is delighted that Asante Kotoko executed their game plan to perfection against Ebusua Dwarfs in Sunday’s league victory.

The porcupines thrashed their opponents 3-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League match day 11 with goals coming from Frank Sarfo Gyamfi scoring in-between Dauda Mohammed’s brace.

Kotoko scored 18 minutes into the game to calm their nerves before adding the second and third goals on the stroke of halftime and eight minutes to end the game. The victory pushes Kotoko close to the top four.

And interim head coach, Osei believes Kotoko produced a brilliantly tactical performance by getting the early goal and putting three past their opponents.

“We knew the game was a tricky one but we had confidence we could win so we went into the game with confidence. With such a result, I congratulate my boys because they have done a fantastic job. Our game plan also worked for us perfectly.

“We wanted to get an early goal and we got it. Tactically, we were much disciplined and our character and determination was high. It was a good one for us,” Osei said after the game.

This is the third victory in four league games for Michael Osei since taking charge after David Duncan was asked to step aside by Kotoko.
