Wa All Stars failed to maintain top spot of the ongoing 2015/16 Ghana Premier League after a heavy defeat at the hands of Techiman City on match day 11.
City emphasized their home supremacy as they beat early season highflyers 3-1 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park Sunday.
The victory which sees ‘The Real Citizens’ climb to fourth position had the back-to-form forward Ebenezer Agyapong score the opening goal – his third in a row.
Lanky forward Stephen Manu doubled the lead in the second half but Kelvin Andoh pegged back, giving the visitors some hope of a comeback – 2-1.
Techiman City however put the game beyond the Wa-based club as experienced forward Ibrahim Issaka emerged to slot home and hand his side a two-goal cushioning.
Wa All Stars are now left in second place behind Accra Hearts of Oak who travelled to beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at the Golden City Park on Sunday. Hearts now lead the pack with a point better than All Stars who are on 20 from 11 games.
