Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs have relieved experienced gaffer Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong off his duties as head of the club’s technical team.
The Cape Coast side Monday officially wrote to coach Sarpong, calling time on their contractual relationship with the man who guided the side to gain qualification to the Ghanaian top flight this season.
Contents of a leaked letter handed coach Sarpong indicates the club’s board discontent with results chalked by the side in eleven games in the Ghana Premier League as well as their early exit from the FA Cup competition.
According to the letter dated May 9, 2016 and signed by Board Secretary J.F Mensah, the Board and Management of Ebusua Dwarfs have “observed that the club has been performing poorly since the beginning of the 2015/2016 football season. In fact, apart from the fact that we were eliminated at the initial stages in the FA Cup competition, we have also gained only 9 points from a maximum of 33 points in the on-going 2015/2016 Premier League. The club is therefore threatened with relegation.”
“In order to reverse the trend, the Board and Management have decided to conduct an assessment of the situation to identify the problems mitigating against the desired performance of the club.”
The letter also informed coach Sarpong he will be receiving three months salary as compensation for his sack.

RELIEVING OF POST AS HEAD COACH OF CAPE COAST DWARFS F/C
We have observed that the club has been performing poorly since the beginning of the 2015/2016 football season. In fact, apart from the fact that we were eliminated at the initial stages in the FA Cup Competition, we have also gained only 9 points from a maximum of 33 points in the on-going 2015/2016 Premier League. The club is therefore threatened with relegation.
In order to reverse the trend, the Board and Management have decided to conduct an assessment of the situation to identify the problems militating against the desired performance of the club.
In view of this, I have been directed by the Board Chairman who doubles as the President of the club and the Chief Executive Officer, to relieve you of your post as Head Coach with immediate effect.
Management has decided to pay you three (3) months salary as compensation to that effect. Arrangements are being made to honour this compensation payment in due course.
You are also kindly being requested to contact the Administrative Manager to arrange for the payment of any arrears of salaries and/or bonuses due you if any.
