AshGold: Fianoo-led Management resign en bloc

The entire management team of league champions AshantiGold have tendered in their resignation letters to club owners Anglogold Ashanti, footy-Ghana has confirmed. 

The action by the 5-member team is understood to have been taken last Friday (May 13).

Kudjoe Fianoo is leaving his post as the Chief Executive Officer after over ten years with the Miners.

Other management members include spokesperson Kofi Yawson, Yaw Fosu, Operations Manager Clement Donkor and John Williams who acted as a deputy CEO in charge of Estate and Logistics for the Obuasi based club.

Footy-Ghana is yet to lay hands on the offical reasons put forward by the 5-man team to the Anglogold board but it is understood that the club’s recent troubles both on and off field play key part in the decision to resign.

For CEO Kudjoe Fianoo, close sources reveal that the recently elected Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Chairman has decided to want to vacate the Miners job and concentrate on his freshly acquired challenge.

Footy-Ghana can reveal that Anglogold has summoned the Fianoo-led team to a meeting at 4pm on Monday.

AshGold won the Ghana Premier League fir the first time in 19 years last season have seen a massive slump in performance this term. They are out of the FA Cup competition and palpably lie 14th on the 2015/16 league table after 11 games.
