Redknapp tips Jordan Ayew for Premiership stay

Former Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp has singled out Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew as the only player to be signed back to the Premiership if Aston Villa is finally relegated.

The Villains are rock bottom of the in the English Premiership League table with 15 points.

The players have been hugely criticized for their lack luster attitude and not showing a will to die for the club.

The last time they picked a win was a Capital One Cup match against Wycombe when they won by two goals to nil back in January.

Since then, they have played nine Premier League games, drew one and lost the rest.

In all these, Jordan has not failed to sparkle with blistering form and spectacular goals

“Jordan Ayew looks a decent player, and I think he will get a move away from Villa this summer,” the former Portsmouth manager told Telegraph.

“But can you say the same about any of the others? I can’t think of another player in that squad who will get a move back to the Premier League.”

“Which means they could go into the Championship with a squad of players on serious money who are happy to wait out the remaining two, three or four years of their contracts,” he added.

Jordan has featured 30 times for the Villains this season and netted six times.

He scored his seventh last weekend when they lost by 1-2 at home to AFC Bournemouth.
