GPL PREVIEW: ‘AshGold eager to turn things around against Dreams’

AshantiGold forward Emmanuel Osei says the team is eager to revive its title defense campaign with a win over Dreams FC on Sunday.

The champions have failed to glitter in six games into the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League, managing a win, drawn four games before losing 1-5 away to Liberty Professionals.

Lying 11th on the log, AshantiGold return to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium to host the Ghana Premier League boys who currently place third after six games.

Osei has been reflecting on the Miners’ poor form and is hoping things get better.

“We’ve not had the best of starts to the season and we are eager to turn things around. We have dropped some points at home and recently lost [heavily to Liberty]…

“As a team, we’re aware of and already feeling the pressure that comes with such results from the technical team, management and our supporters. We are eager to win this game badly,” he said.

The AshGold-Dreams encounter is one of match day 7 fixtures scheduled for Sunday, April 10. Kickoff is at 15:00GMT.
