Friendly: Satellites beat Cameroon at Tema

The Ghana U-20 team, Black Satellites defeated their Cameroonian counterparts 2-1 in the first of two international friendlies for both sides on Friday. 

The two countries are prepping themselves for their turns in the ongoing qualifiers to the 2017 African U-20 Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Zambia later in 2017.

The Black Satellites took the lead through Issaku Konda but were pegged back by the Young Indomitable Lions courtesy a Ymbai Olivier goal which ended the first at 1-1.

Dreams FC’s enterprising midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey scored in the to hand Ghana a 2-1 win in the macth played at the Tema Stadium.

Cameroon have a chance to attempt redeeming their pride when they meet the Black Satellites in a second friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, April 26.

Meanwhile, most of the Ghana Premier League players in the Satellites camp have left for their respective clubs for Sunday’s match day 9 round of games.
