Romanian coach Aristica set for Aduana Stars return

Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica looks set for a second spell at Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars.

The 44-year-old enjoyed a brief but successful spell with the Dormaa club during the 2011/12 season before leaving for a better offer with Saham SC in Oman.

Since Monday, Aduana have been without a head coach following the resignation of Nurudeen Ahmed, whose decision to leave was informed by a lack of unity in the team after going two straight games with defeats at the start fo the new Ghana Premier League campaign.

Club sources tell footy-GHANA.com that “both parties have expressed interest in a reunion with Aristica expected to arrive in Accra by close of day Saturday to discuss personal terms of an initial one-year deal before possibly starting work.”

Aristica had always set sights on a future reunion with the Fire club and the opportunity appears to be availing itself. He built a good rapport with his players and still kept contacts with most of the senior players and managers in the current Aduana setup.

Aduana this Sunday, play guests to Premier League new boys Techiman City at the Nana Ameyaw Park in a match day 3 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
