Hearts of Oak concerned about Yatsuhashi security

Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak Frank Nelson Nwokolo has said the club has concerns about coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s decision to walk on the streets of Accra unguarded.

Yatsuhashi prefers to walk most of the time, instead of using the official vehicle provided for him by the club. This has raised concerns the Japanese trainer could be attacked if results start going bad. And Nelson has revealed the club is aware of the security risk posed to Yatsuhashi but claims the club can’t restrict the coach’s movement.

“We have a Toyota vehicle for him at the secretariat but he’s somebody who likes to walk. He said that’s the way he does his exercise. This nation is a safe nation so he keeps asking us why he should be scared,” Nelson said.

“Having said that, we’re very concerned about the situation. But he’s an adult and so it’s difficult to stop him if he prefers to walk to Osu or anywhere else he wants,” he added.

Yatsuhashi is back to training the Phobians after being rushed to the hospital for pain treatment. He’s expected to be on the bench when Hearts hosts Wa All Stars this weekend, having missed the phobians’ triumph over Wassaman in the FA Cup.
