GPL: Yatsuhashi demands more from Hearts players

Hearts boss Kenichi Yatsuhashi is eyeing further improvement of his squad despite their fine start to top flight.

The Phobians, under the Japanese American, have recorded three wins and a draw conceding only one goal in 360 minutes.

Despite this, Yatsuhashi believes the race has just started. “Our players now there is a long way to go. I told the CEO this is a marathon but it is also a sprint,” he said.

“The sprinting was very good. I am a perfectionist so I demand a lot from everyone. Our players know I demand a lot from them.”

Speaking to Joy Sports, he extended gratitude to his entire staff thus far, “I don’t only thank the players for their effort but the three coaches. They have done a great job and I know a lot more will come from them.”

On the assessment of his players, Kenichi was pleased with their output but expected more to come from his boys. “All the players have done well, I cannot single out one player. There are many players on the bench and not even not making the bench as good as the starters.”

“What people are seeing on the pitch is just a tip of the iceberg. There are many good players on my team. I am not looking to sustain anything, I am looking to improve every match.”

Yatsuhashi will lead his charges to Tema this weekend when they play Inter Allies in week five of the Ghana Premier League.
