Dreams FC will fight for every point – Kurt Okraku

President of Ghana Premier League new campaigners Dreams FC has stated that the team takes every point delicate and will work hard to claim maximum points from every game.

Kurt Okraku revealed the team are here to stay and will take it up if they have the opportunity to be at the top of the Premier League. According to the boss of the newly promoted side, they want to savour every moment of the elite division and will claim as many points their performance can fetch them.

“We will fight for every point available. We are very much aware that we will not win every game. If it is that we win every game, we say Alleluia, but we will fight and get as many points as we can and if that takes us to the summit, so be it. We are here, we will enjoy ourselves,” Kurt told TV3 Sports.

On the choice of the Dawu Park in the Eastern region as their new home grounds, Kurt Okraku cited it was a very simple and easy decision for them. Considering being a native and his coach a former star in Okwahu United, they deemed it fair choosing the Dawu Sports Stadium for their home matches.

“When we decided to play here, there was no difficulty. I am an Eastern (region) boy. I am from Aburi to be precise. Our manager Charles Akunnor played for a super club in the Eastern region, Okwahu United so it was very easy for us to decide coming to the Eastern region.

“You could see the amount of investment we have made to the facility. I think that over time, this facility will be the most user friendly football facility in this country,” Kurt stated.

The rejuvenated Dawu Sports Stadium is now known as the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ and that is where Dreams FC will be playing their home matches for the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League season.

Dreams recorded a 1-0 victory at Dwarfs in the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast in the new boys’ clash.

Dreams play hosts to Bechem United on Match Day 2 in the Ghana Premier League and their first home game at the Dawu Sports Stadium at 3pm on Sunday.
