KFC Samosa’s Gideon Frimpong signs for Prespa Birlik

Newly promoted Swedish Alvenskan side Prespa Birlik have added young midfielder Gabriel Frimpong to their growing Ghana contingent.

The 19-year-old joins the side from Kumasi-based Ghana Division One side KFC Samosa after impressing on trials at Prespa months ago.

“He is a strong, tough player with good leadership skills even though he is only 19.

“We got recommendations from former MFF player Mattias Thylander who is his agent and we had Gabriel to train with us a few times earlier this winter,” Prespa Birlik sporting director Meysam Javan explains how they landed the Ghanaian.

Frimpong who spent three seasons at Samosa has previously had stints with the Ghana U-20 team.

He becomes the 6th Ghanaian at the club after Karim Sadat, David Abaya, Kojo Annor, Prince Ntiamoah and Paulinus Dorzie.
