Latest addition: Stephen Nyarko begins training with Kotoko

Asante Kotoko appear to be getting to the end of their squad beefing process ahead of the 2015/16 season with the arrival of Stephen Nyarko from Wa All Stars.

Per Footy-Ghana.com sources, the coach David Duncan led technical team this week, were on the lookout to acquire an offensive midfielder and a striker in their attempt to build a balanced squad that can win laurels next season.

Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that the porcupine warriors have sealed a free agent agreement with attacking midfielder and has begun training with the side.

Nyarko, who scored five goals in the league for All Stars last season, recently refused to extend his stay with the Wa side after seeing out his contract.

Asante Kotoko are expected to officially announce his capture as well as that of striker Kwame Boateng [also training with the side] from relegated Accra Great Olympics after receiving a report on their medicals.

Boateng is one of trial players who was picked by Duncan during his stint with Olympics prior to the start of last season but the two could not work together due to the latter’s departure.

Footy-Ghana however understands that the dethroned champions may be forced to return to the transfer market as one of their established players appears to be forcing his way out for a move abroad.

Michael Akuffo and Abeiku Ainooson have already been let out for loan spells at Al Ansar (Lebanon) and Al Hilal (Sudan) respectively while the club has so far officially announced the arrival of nine new additions. Kotoko are still sorting out terms to have Burkinabe international Alliasou Sanou officially become their player by early December.

Kotoko will thus be having as many as 12 new faces when the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League tentatively set for December 20 begins.
